A beautiful ribbed porcelain base, decorated with flowers and birds. Unglazed rim appears to indicate this piece once had a lid, possibly used as a Tea Caddy or another form of jar.
Antique Japanese Meiji era, dating to the middle of the 19th century.
A great object for study or display, this will make a nice addition to any student or appreciators collection of Japanese art and artifacts.
