    Description

    SAJEN 925 STERLING SILVER CHECKERBOARD ABALONE AND GARNET LARGE PENDANT.  ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.  WAS OWNED BY MY MOTHER, BUT NEVER WORN.  THERE IS A TINY PINK STONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIGHT BLUE FLOWER, BUT I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT IS.  IT IS 2.75" LONG X 2" WIDE.  IT IS STAMPED SAJEN 925 INSIDE THE CLASP.
    In 1987, newly wed Marianna and Richard Jacobs lived in a thatched roof bamboo house in the rice paddies of Bali, Indonesia. As a graduate student at Yale School of Art, Richard Jacobs won a Luce Scholarship to paint and teach in Bali, Indonesia. Marianna spent the year studying dance and working in a silver factory, creating jewelry and learning the ancient secrets of the Balinese master silversmiths.
