Vintage The Map of Nippon Japan Guide Map in English w Index of Cities Parks etc

Description

This is a vintage 1980s "The Map of Nippon" map of Japan published by the Japan Guide Map Co., Ltd.  The map folds inside the front left flap of the booklet, while on the right side is a 23 page index which includes a list of all prefectures, a large listing of cities and towns, national parks, famous resorts for tourists, famous hot springs, a listing of annual festivals, and small maps of main air routes in the country as well as ferry boat routes.  All listings are in alphabetical order using roman letters (A,B,C order) and also include the Japanese characters.  The map folds out to 43" x 31" and is printed on one side only.  The entire of Japan can be seen at a glance, with all of the important locations written in English letters for easy reading. Since the map has been kept inside the book flap, it is not faded.  However, there are some small tears at the intersection of the creases that you often see in older maps.  There are a few cuts/tears/creases along the edges.  Please see the photos above.  None of the tears interfere with the usability of the map.   There are no postcards included with the map.  Comes from smoke-free, pet-free home.
